The HMHS Archives

From the outset, one of the objectives of the Hamilton Mountain Heritage Society was to create and maintain an Archives for the Hamilton Mountain community. The desire was to establish a place where community memorabilia, particularly documents and photographs, could be preserved safely.

The first stage of that objective has been accomplished. Space has been secured at Vincent Massey School, 55 Macassa Avenue. This is a location where Educational Archives are also housed.

The Society is interested in receiving material which can be added to our collection. Due to space limitations it is not possible for us to preserve larger items of memorabilia at this time. However, we would be very pleased to be entrusted with the safekeeping of documents, books, photographs or maps.

Depositing material in the Society's archives will not only preserve it for posterity but will also make it accessible to those doing research on the history of our community.

If you have questions, or are in possession of items that you would like to donate, please contact The Webmaster
